Ice cream (derived from earlier iced cream or cream
ice). Is a frozen food, typically eaten as a snack
or dessert, usually made from dairy products, such as milk and cream, and often combined
with fruits or other ingredients and flavours. It is typically sweetened with sucrose, corn syrup, cane sugar, beet sugar, and/or other sweeteners. Typically, flavourings and colourings are added in addition to stabilizers. The
mixture is stirred to incorporate air spaces and cooled below the freezing
point of water to prevent detectable ice crystals from forming. The result is a smooth,
semi-solid foam that is solid at very low temperatures (<35 °F /
2 °C). It becomes more malleable as its temperature increases.
Cakes Cake is a form of sweet dessert that is typically baked. In its oldest forms, cakes were modifications
of breads but now cover a wide range of preparations that
can be simple or elaborate and share features with other desserts such as pastries, meringues, custardsand pies.
Salad is a dish consisting
of small pieces of food, which may be mixed with a sauce or salad
dressing. Salads
can incorporate a variety of foods including vegetables, fruits, cheese,
cooked meat, eggs and grains.
Garden salads use a base of leafy greens; they are common enough
that the word salad alone often refers specifically to
garden salads. Other types include bean
salad, tuna
salad, fattoush, Greek salad, and somen salad.
